ReviewsI have to admit that I am excited that Wanda Brunstetter wrote this series of books and I am hoping that she writes more of these along with her other books. Absolutely another job well done and another five star book!, Any doubts I had about this series have vanished. Book 2 introduces many new characters and there is so much more plot line developing. I was so engaged in the story that any repetition seemed inconsequential. The author's characters are still very simple people, but life is happening for them in a very big way. I'm looking forward to Part 3., Let me begin by saying that I am enjoying The Discovery's serial format. Wanda writes in a comfortable, easy-flowing style that pulls me into the narrative, and which lends itself well to this serialization. Each section ends in a cliffhanger, but the rest of the story just moves the action along at a steady pace and lets us get to know the characters better, while identifying with their struggles and pain., This book is the 2nd in a 6 part series "Discovery Series". This book is so good, I couldn't hardly put it down. I would suggest to everyone who loves Amish as I do, to pick this book up and read it. You will be hooked., I absolutely love this ongoing series and I'm one of the lucky ones to be able to review these books back-to-back, instead of having to wait for the next monthly release. This enables me to continue on with Meredith and Luke's saga without any interruptions and I'm really enjoying that this storyline is so emotionally gripping. I love the characters so much that I actually feel as if they're my friends. This is another installment that I highly recommend!, The Silence of Winter jumps right back into the story. It keeps you wanting to read about these characters. Their are some new ones added to the stories. This one too ends in a cliffhanger. It is a Amish story and a clean read too. Not a stand alone series its one that you will want to read it in order too., I love this new series from Wanda and the cliff hangers we are left on The Silence of Winter is no exception to this. I can't wait to read the third installment in The Discovery Saga, The Hope of Spring..., This series already has me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book to come out. You will really enjoy these books because of the way Wanda has written them. They are a different take from her usual Amish stories. The books are exciting and realistic and very well written. No matter what your usual favorite reading is I think anyone would enjoy these stories., This series already has me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book to come out. Certainly I am hooked and look forward to the next installment due in a couple of months. Well constructed so you are easily captivated and can escape into a world that so few of us know about., Woohooo I just love this little mini series of Wanda's. She creates such magical places and people, I feel like I am home when reading! I think it is a really neat idea to have a short little story each month!! Something to look forward to in 2013!, I am a real fan of Amish fiction, and I am partial to Wanda Brunstetter's books. This is a wonderful series and this particular book was a fantastic read. While the plot was heart wrenching, it didn't leave you in despair, but offered healing and hope. Once again we are left with a cliff hanger that keeps us wanting more! I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Will Luke survive? Will Meredith find love with another? How will the two nurses lives change in the story. I would recommend this book to all that love to read good Amish Fiction. Again the author doesn't disappoint!
