Worth the extra cost, No hassel, perfect fit, quick installation.
OEM seat. My 10 year old JD seat was crumbling. This replacement was a bit more than I wanted to spend, BUT, it required no alterations to install. Went right in, Hooked right up, Back in business. The first lawn I mowed with the new seat was pure comfort. I had forgotten how good the seat was when it was new. I have decided if I had to to do it again, I would go with the OEM seat even with the extra cost.

Good Quality Replacement
Not as heavy duty as the original (lighter but tough plastic seat pan vs. original’s metal pan) but fit well and was relatively easy to install. Originally bolts are not quite long enough to engage fixed nuts in new seat so had to substitute with slighter longer bolt. Other than that very satisfied.

Ok but include longer screws.
The seat is comfortable. But for the price they should include four screws of the correct length. It’s not clear that the old fasteners aren’t long enough. Other than that the seat is easy to install.

Does was it's supposed to.
Genuine John Deere part so it fit the application with little drama. Major criticism, however: For the cost involved, it should include new hardware (bolts, etc.) to install it. The old crusty ones from the old seat were unusable and had a different thread pitch than the new seat - difficult to find from local hardware sources. Cheap of them not to include. I would have rated it higher had they included everything needed to install.

Better than the original
More support than the original. Has the logo on the back also. Excellent upgrade although original had a steel frame. This one is heavy plastic.

Nice Seat
Nice seat, and it mounted just like the original. I needed to buy some new 1-1/2" bolts because they changed the seat a bit and the bolts for the original seat were too short.

Wish it were high back
Not much higher than original seat, maybe 3 inches. Material seems a little bit thinner. Easy to install, old bolts are fine.
