Budget dash cam that works but problems have surfaced.
UPDATE: The problems with this dashcam surfaced after a while. Dashcam still working but now has a wavy distortion in the screen. Its refreshing with a distorted portion slowly rolling from top to bottom. It is losing it's date setting after the battery dies out (about a day later) so if you want the date on the recording to be accurate you will resetting it every day.. The angle of view is much narrower (about 35 degrees) and cannot be "zoomed out" for a full view. Downgraded 2 stars. Paid under $15 for this dashcam. Arrived quickly, ready to use out of the box. Did not need to read the instructions. Intuitive menu. 6 buttons, plus power on the side. You'll use middle left to open menu, Lower left to navigate, and upper right to OK. The only hang up was the date page locked up/froze the device when I changed the year to 2020. I forgot power was on the side so I unplugged it, let it deplete its small internal battery and power down. When I plugged it back in everything was OK and it allowed me to set the date. I bought an $8 "Onn" brand 32GB micro SD card twin pack for the cam at a big box retailer. If you know who sells that brand you figured it out. They also sell a $4 single card but at a slower transfer rate. It works like a champ with the SD card. Less than $20 invested and no worries about leaving it mounted on the windshield. Go ahead, steal it. lol. Down side: Night vision was pretty useless on local backroads without street lights. Just 2 white dots for oncoming vehicles. In-city with street lighting, Acceptable night vision.

Gets the job done
This product gets the job done, whenever it’s not falling off the windshield and remains adjusted in the direction that I set (which isn’t often). The adapter also has exposed wires near the cigarette lighter end after a few weeks of use. I don’t know if I got a lemon or if they’re all lemons.

great value stays on windshield and good protection - camera's don't lie
i use this dash cam with my cobra cam also i just wanted a second back up so u use two at one thme and seems like a great value and low cost and just about as good as the cobra cam

Looks to be a good camera,until you hook it up, looks just like all the other cheap ones and works like a cheap one if I was you I would pay a little more.. This will never be on my windshield cheezy graphics

Defective item
Received camera plugged it in my truck with a mini SD card inserted 16gb. Noticed the camera would only record one video at the beginning of driving that freezes at 40 secs. All other video files after that are corrupt. Basically this camera is useless for this much you may as well get an ONN dash camera at Walmart for 20$ atleast that will work.

It's a $13 item...
It has poor packaging that was crushed on arrival. The camera appeared to be used and had lots of cosmetic scratches and such. Time will tell how well it actually performs.

Camera
I realized it was cheap so I wasn’t expecting much so my review of it is, it’s good for the price the view is very small. Works fine.
