Call Me By Your Name DVD Review
This is a touching love story between two young males who meet when Oliver comes to stay with Elio and his family during the summer in Italy in 1983. This shows the longing for desire, affection, and love along with heartbreak. The acting is superb as is the screenplay. The book the film is based on is a very good read too. The soundtrack is also a fine addition to the book and the DVD. Great Cast!!!
Engaging movie, the on screen chemistry between Elio and Oliver developing a relationship between 2 men who are struggling to understand their sexuality. It stirred up emotions and memories from when I was younger living in rural Nebraska trying to understand why I was gay until I came to the realization that this is the way I am and sexuality is not a choice that anyone makes. Straight people don't make that choice either, their sexuality is just socially acceptable. Wish Oliver could have come to understand his sexuality is just the way he is. Touching talk between Elio and his father when he confessed that he almost had what Elio and Oliver had but something held him back. Luca did a great job in finding actors to play each role. One of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen
This movie grabbed my heart from the very first scene. The acting, photography, directing and writing flows so naturally it feels like I am watching a real group of people in a real community in real time. I forgot I was watching a movie until the ending....and then I wept because it was over. I have watched this movie nearly a dozen times now and each time I feel like I am seeing it for the first time. Hardly worth watching,
Film is quite disappointing compared to the book. Mostly boring till the last part of the movie. Could have made it a short film, needing no more than forty five minutes to make entertaining. All in all, very disappointing.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Wonderful Movie with likeable Leads
Was totally surprised that i liked this movie so much. The young kid who falls for the Older Americano was absolutely perfect in this role. For both leads being straight, they did an exceptional acting job. A light hand on a real part of life ...
The director chose to go in with a light hand ... almost like a cinematic lite beer ... the thought was good, but the real thing is full bodied and satisfying whereas the light touch given by the director left this viewer with the feeling the movie could have been far more than it was. I guess an attempt to 'Vanilla' the love scenes between the two main characters to reach the widest audience acceptability played strongly in the results. Had the Peach scene been handle with more boldness and confidence, it would have been a timeless cult clip. Armie Hammer is stunning as Oliver, and Timothee Chalamet as Elio provides an amazing skill at bringing emotions to the screen that should be seen and savored. Still, a beautiful movie with extremely capable actors ... we want the 4 hour cut. Recommended.

I believe it was teenage boy's parents who pushed him to love a man in begun. Watch this until before ending. you will surprise it was his parents' planned.
