It makes up a combination of a LOVE STORY on the Shores of France to War in the Caribbean. Then with the set you get back ground information about life on board a War Ship. How Training took place daily to keep everyone on ALERT. There was no slack time on board ship. The plight of the IRISH who were BRITISH SAILORS. How DISCIPLINE was meted out for Minor Infractions of LAW. THE SHIP'S CAPTAIN WAS THE LAW! These were, in Truth said, IRON MEN IN WOODEN SHIPS.

Excellent series. I loved it.
I loved this series. I recommend it to anyone who loves movies about sailing ships and the brave men who sailed these ships during the Napoleanic war. Especially Horatio Hornblower.

Great series, except
I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE SELLER. I got exactly what I ordered. My problem is with the DVDs themselves. I'm hearing impaired. The first 4 dvds had closed captions on them. The next 4 could not get closed captions to work.

Horatio to the rescue
Excellent series that has very engaging characters. The costumes and sets are incredibly accurate to that time period. I have watched this several times over the years. Highly recommend

Napoleonic war at sea
This is a must have series for anyone that enjoys novels of the Napoleonic war at sea. The product was shipped in the condition that was reported if not better.
