      Poor quality - not the one in the picture

      The picture shows a genuine Rangemaster door-catch. The seller's details lists 'Compatible Brand: for Rangemaster. Brand: Rangemaster' - the latter implying that it's a genuine part. The mounting holes are much closer together than the original (48mm vs. 54mm) meaning that you have to bend the (flimsy) chassis to make it fit. It comes with long self-tapping screws, rather than short bolts to fit threaded holes as in the original (and the advertising picture). When installed, these screws foul the mechanism and stop the striker pin engaging. I had to cut the ends off to finally make it fit. The profile of the striker pin is different from that shown and doesn't retain the door securely (and it doesn't come with a nut, so don't lose the original one).       The product was easy to fit and performs well

      Item was a direct replacement for a worn out catch and very easy to fit. Only observation is that the door is now stiffer to close and open which is taking a bit of getting used to and demonstrates how much the original rollers had worn over time.

      Excellent replacement catch

      Excellent replacement for old oven door catch with plastic rollers that had broken - this has metal rollers so is better. The vital distance between the bolt holes is given by the seller so I knew it would fit. He also warned that the holes in the catch are not threaded, unlike the original, so I had to hunt around for some small bolts and nuts to fit it, as the original screws would not fit.

      Very good indeed.

      A genuine manufacturers piece, very well made and easy to fit, I'm in my seventies, and works really well. I have found Rangemaster spares very well priced, replaced other parts that were badly marked onit when we inherited it with the house.

      RANGEMASTER oven latch

      Fits my Elan 90 RM. Easy to fit. No need to Remove door from oven. Remove 2 screws on side of oven door nearest latch. This will give you enough room to ease door panel away to reach latch. Remove screws on latch.replace with New latch using existing screws. Works great
