Brilliant acting
I saw this movie when it first came out. I thought I had a copy but couldn't find it when I wanted to see it again. It was difficult to find it streaming anywhere so I decided to look for the DVD. I'm glad I found this. I saw a few DVDs that were cheaper. But in the past when I took that option. They were copied DVDs and wouldn't work in certain DVD players. This sealed original is perfect and at a fantastic price. And the movie is just amazing. The emotions of the main character from being a kid to a full grown adult just left me speechless. If you love music and the idea of just doing what you love and being free. You need to watch this movie.

Incredible story and incredible music!
Incredible piano playing. Rachmaninoff is famous for compositions that are virtually impossible to play because they are so intense, and David Helfgott made that music his specialty, which, along with his domineering father, likely drove him insane. Incredible story and incredible music!

Wonderful!
One of my favorite stories and Geoffrey Rush did an amazing job of portraying David Helfgott. I watched a recently released documentary on Helfgott and Rush got his mannerisms down perfectly.

Such a fabulous insight to a brilliant man.
Such a fabulous insight to the life of David Helfgott! A brilliant mind damaged by the control of his father and a true story of overcoming mental illness and the struggles that go along with living with it.
