Additional InformationIt's 1941. World War II continues to rage across Europe. The young men of England have been called to the front to fight. So, back at home, a new regiment is formed, and an army of England's young women are dispatched across the countryside to pick up the slack. Collectively known as "The Land Girls," three beautiful women (McCormack, Weisz, and Friel) answer the call, arriving at a farm in Dorset, where they meet handsome and volatile Joe (Mackintosh). Tragedy and passion is revealed as the girls form close friendships with each other and with Joe.

Excellent story which kept us on track.
We bought this DVD as it had several scenes which were filmed at our beautiful nearby small country station on the West Somerset Railway. Much enjoyed those scenes and the film itself was well worth watching as a heart warming story stunningly created. Recommended.

Fab U Louse.
We love this film and bought the DVD so I could study the Womens Land Army clothes and actual roles. It is a true feel good film. Will be watched many times. Brilliant and superb service all round.

Entertaining, happy, sad and funny.
This DVD was sold as a "good as new" product because it came without being sealed in the plastic wrap and it was indeed as "good as new". The price was very in line with what I wanted to pay. One of my favourite films, life and love during the Second World War.
