Kudos to Prof. Field! -- Raymond Grogan Published On: 2018-09-06I also appreciate how the author made the text interesting to read, but the content is rich enough to provide readers good knowledge on how to draw insights from stats and data.

  • Most accessible guide to doing statistics

Great introduction to statistics. Very accessible. This takes you through the basics and really starts from the beginning, unlike a few other introductions to statistics I have read. You can read this as a total beginner and still follow the explanations. There are lots of examples and illustrations to clarify methods, as well as separate sections that allow you to dive a bit deeper. I kept borrowing this from the library so often, that I realised I need my own copy as it has become my go-to when I am undertaking a statistical analysis. The humour and musical references help, too.
