Son of the Morning Star
Read the book decades ago when it was first written and have re-read it since. It is considered by historians as one of the top four best or the best history of Custer and the Plains Indian Wars. These I most recently purchased were for a couple dear friends and a special mentor. All are Trans-Mississippi & US Western History buffs or history professors. They were all delighted!

A must read for those interested western US History
One of the best books I’ve ever read. It’s a “page turner” from start to finish, especially if the reader is interested in western history. ES Connell has a an exciting style based on thorough research and understanding of the facts. Recommended!

Awesome book!
So many detailed accounts from different perspectives. I learned a lot that I didn’t know about the battle and the lives of those involved.

Not a “hard cover”; it is a paperback
I will keep it; too expensive to pkg & ship, but a paperback is not a hard cover. I wanted it for my library. I am not going nuts about it, but not what I was looking forward to.
