Table saw safety is first
These work three ways; they hold the work down on the table as it goes through the blade and they also hold it in toward the rip fence. Most importantly they only allow the wood to move toward the outfeed and will not pull back toward the operator and will not allow the board to kickback on the operator. There is about a thousand adjustments that can be made to the board buddy and to the mounting fixture to set it up just right to make the cut. I have mine mounted to the rip fence and slide them in and out as needed as well as adjust the amount of pressure placed down on the board. Do I recommend them: I wouldn't cut a board without using them. I also use them on my molder shaper (green for hold down and in only). I got these used at a good price but unless someone cuts them with the saw blade or looses parts I can't imagine why buying used would be a problem.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Works well
Snugs the board to the fence and reduces the use of a push stick or featherboard on the left side of the saw blade. Easy to adjust for wood thickness. If your fence has slots on the top, it can be adjusted to fit easily into them. Instructions are OK, the diagram helps more. The instructions I received did not mention how to adjust the device up and down for wood thickness, but the diagram cleared that up. They may get in the way if sawing a small board and using a push stick behind the piece, but with a little adjustment to their location, it can be resolved.
