Television aficionados may recall that the beloved animated characters of Rocket J. "Rocky" Squirrel and Bullwinkle J. Moose actually enjoyed popularity in two successive television programs from the early 1960s: ROCKY AND HIS FRIENDS, which ran for two seasons (1959-61); and THE BULLWINKLE SHOW, which ran for three (1961-64). For the home video releases, series creator Jay Ward repackaged everything under a single title, THE ADVENTURES OF ROCKY & BULLWINKLE & FRIENDS, and renumbered the seasons 1 through 5. Therefore, this box set - which is labeled "Season Four" - originally ran as Season Two of THE BULLWINKLE SHOW from 1962-3. All 19 episodes of that season appear in this set. It contains tales including 'Guns of Abalone,' 'Treasure of Monte Zoom,' 'Goof Gas Attack' and 'Banana Formula.'

Recapture your youth!
Just as funny and engaging this time around as it was the first time. I remember the humor differently - probably due to my age. Some of the jokes/puns are specific to the time it was created but never takes anything away from today's fun. June Foray is still my favorite voice actor!

I always greatly enjoyed this cartoon as a child. This DVD has a lot of fast action and great animation not to mention great musical stuff.

There are scenes of violence that some might deem objectionable, but Rocky & Bullwinkle & Friends Season 4 have scenes that are funny and entertaining.
