Having recently started to watch Game of Thrones I have found the series so far to offer engaging an sometimes thought provoking entertainment. Goodish but not a patch on the books.
The HBO series is an entertaining yarn in its own right. It tries to make a coherent, slimmed-down tale out of the contents of the many gripping but rambling books which make up the Game of Thrones series.
