This is a great TV series.
The Inspector Banks series of books ios entertaining, but I feel somewhat over rated by critics. Several more entertaining series come readily to mind. The TV series, though, is among the very best detective series ever to appear on TV. If any criticism can be leveled against it , it is that the early books of the Banks series are not represented in the series, and I believe the earliest one of the TV series is the 12th book. The TV series is definitely better than the original book series, in my mind. One needs to be careful when purchasing these DVDs that one purchases the DV code that will actually play on their DVD player...there are a lot of other codes floating around for sale and it could easily result in owning unplayable discs.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Excellent police procedural series. Writing and acting at its best!
This is an excellent police procedural series with great character studies of everyone involved. We get exposed to the personal lives of everyone involved.
