<h2>Jaime Hernandez</h2>The 2007 Thomas Jefferson Dollar was the third proof Presidential Dollar design in the Presidential Dollar Series.<br/><br/>The coins were only sold in a four piece proof set. Each set contained a Proof Presidential Dollar coin with a portrait of George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. Each coin will display an S mint mark on the edge of the coin, since the coins were struck at the San Francisco Mint.<br/><br/>The date, inscriptions in God We Trust and E Pluribus Unum were also placed on the edge of the coin. Proof coins have the edge inscriptions struck on the edge of the coin by a segmented three part collar die, unlike circulation strike Presidential Dollars which have the edge inscriptions applied on the edge by a Schuler Edge Lettering Machine. <br/><br/> Each 2007 Presidential Dollar Proof Set was offered directly from the mint for $14.95 each, with no ordering limits imposed.
