Out of Africa - Withstood theTest of Time
I loved the photography and music in this picture which is why I bought a personal copy after borrowing one from the local library. I also like airplanes. I learned to fly 57 years ago (I'm 72). I liked the Jenny JN-4. It looked very well maintained. Wish I could have flown one or even had a ride in one sometime but it never happened. I liked Streep's character story-telling as part of the plot and the way she gave dignity to the indigent Africans tribe. I've watched this probably 5 times for the above reason and will watch again, I hope unless unforeseen occurrence befall me.

You can watch this movie over and over again!
The movie is long but interesting to watch. The scenery is unbelievable and breath taking. The only draw back is there is no subtitle or caption therefore you can not enjoy the full flavor of the movie. However, this is a real story and it is stunning!

Just got home from being in Tanzania where the story was filmed. Had to watch the movie again after all these years.

Out of Africa
The movie is hard to watch at times if you are an animal lover or activist. Some scenes are very abusive to the animals. It's a long movie but is interesting and the scenery is beautiful. Streep accent is horrible though but her role of a determined and smart woman is well played. Redford was at his most handsome.

Fantastic, Beautiful, touching, engrossing
All in all, probably one of the best movies ever made. Beautiful scenery filmed in Kenya. Redford and Streep are perfect and story line is engrossing and engaging. The musical score is beautiful and takes you on a magical ride through the clouds. Buy this DVD and add it to your collection of All Time Bests.

very good movie 10 out of 10 stars.
i love this movie from begin to end the acting in it is great the costumes in it are great the music in it is great the way the land scapes are in it are very great i give it 10 out of 10 stars a must watch movie to see for the whole family i would recommond it too people on here to watch with there family.

1913...an importane view of African History.
Amazing history of Kenya. .....First famous woman to publicly acknowledge that she got syphilis from her husband...and could not have children. But somehow a treatment of arsenic administered in Denmark saved her life.

Very enjoyable.
Considering the movie is old the color and sound are very good. I ordered a movie from a different company that stopped playing after the first ten minutes so was apprehensive about ordering movies on line. This one was a nice surprise and the price was very affordable.
