The North Fells.
A small pocket size book for all lake district lovers. Lots of line drawings that look quaint and antiquated, but as the hills and mountains are not going to move the book is as relevant now as it was decades ago when Alfred Wainwright wrote the book. Wainwright only lived around the corner from me. His house has a blue plaque on the outside, a lancashire man that l9ve going up to the lake district. Although my family came from the lake district to down here I find he knows more about the lake district than my famity than I. He wrote a lot of these pocket books. They are really good to reference by. After a while you will have quite a few dog eared pages as they will be really well read and not just g as the ring dust on a book shelf.
