You can't change it
Hi, As a show the performance is ok for the music and the singing but the settings and props are not brilliant. The last time I saw it was in Manchester and Michael Ball took the main part.

Pirates of penzance miracle
I haven’t viewed it yet as my father is in a care home and it is for him. I’m positive he will enjoy it as opera is his favourite past-time. Thank you

Pirates of Penzants
Ist act excellent. Unfortunately parts of the 2nd act just froze midstream and missed quite a few chunks of the story. P J Anderson

Excellent
A strong cast and excellent playing by the LSO conducted by Alexander Faris. The Ambrosian Singers provided the chorus. Strong and characterful soloists too. The recording, both aural and visual, was excellent despite it being forty years old.
