Great Memories From The Past
This was a great value to see old, live performances from great artists. Brings back many memories, and for the younger generation, who have heard the music but never seen the artists, to see what we grew up with. Many artists from many genre's with great performances. Good comedy segments too. Loved the show live and still love it today on the discs. Wish it was a little more organized by dates and shows. It jumps all over randomly. Still, a great value for a visual trip down memory lane.

Terrific! End of review!
So many acts and not just one genre. My only disappointment was that I was hoping the segments would be entire shows but that's irrelevant. Took me back in time!

Let The Midnight Special shine it's ever-lovin light on you!
Just got the set today. First half hour is John Denver, Cass Elliot and Harry Chapin. Chapin does "Taxi"- live! Already this IS awesome!

Midnight special,.....kinda.
Grew up watching some of it,...mostly soul and pop music. Didn’t care for all the “Why we were so great B.S.” if they would have put more music,specifically all the No.1 Hits,performed live,...would have been better. Although they claim they were all live,....it’s clear some are very lip synced. This collection is designed to give a little of everything,...hoping you would purchase others.......well for every one good song,you have to put up with 4or 5 you don’t really care to see twice.

My Wife is Reliving The Midnight Special!
I wished the show had produced all 450 episodes...but they did not. However, what I got for my wife she LOVES. It is great. Great buy and great music. Recommended.

The Midnight Special Collection
My only complaint is they should have strung together performances, perhaps by year, instead of showing the beginning and ending of dozens of episodes, with only a few performances in each one. Gets monotonous having to constantly watch the introduction and listen to the shows theme so many times. Great performances.

If you love 70's music you will see amazing preformances Absolutly wonderful
but they do toot their own horn about the show being something special many many times and it gets a bit boring would love to see more performances

Nice Compilation
Of course, I bought this because I used to watch the show when I was a toddler. I have to say it's fun to watch, brings back great memories, and shows some great live performances -- there was almost no lip syncing, a major plus -- and I never realized there were like 300 episodes. So, on the down side, this makes me wish there was a 300 DVD set of them all. :-)
