Dirt Farmer, perfect, he looks the part too, Ozark mountain boy. Dirt farmers and dirt roads,gotta love it.
THE perfect voice these song and their lyrics, talked just like he sang. What a loss. I can see him in the cotton patch or corn field singing these songs almost. The simplicity of the production and instrumentation for these songs is perfect.Not too little and not too lush.I'm a Band lover anyway but this cd hit the spot, roots type music at it's best,my opinion anyway.Perfect imperfections.

Levon’s last album, recorded at his studio in Woodstock NY.
He and the Band are among my favorite artists since first hearing them in them in the early 70s. It’s good stuff.

This is a great album with a blend of country, bluegrass and Americana music all blended superbly by the late great Levon Helm.
