So good it is addictive
I was suprised how it jumped a few years ahead and all the characters were at different places in their lives. The first couple episodes seemed to drag a bit for me but then the series picked up speed and off we go again. The characters are emerging into individuals dealing with their own baggage. Each of the actors brings a supurb performance which makes the series so engaging and really with the excellent settings and clothes and bringing modern social issues into the Victorian slum settings is a tremendous task but the BBC brought it home.
