If there is any kind of book which celebrates the lives of really good people, it's the stories of those with religious vocations who are clearly exceptionally holy but aren't superstars, that is aren't St Therese of Lisieux or Mother Teresa. Thankfully there are many such people and many books about them, most like this one very well researched, packed with the words and writings of the individuals themselves, and also good on the period. Holiness is a particular attraction for women, it seems! This is well worth a read, as it is time spent with a selfless person. How rare is that.
