Beautifully made, nicely finished. It is of reasonable sturdiness but I wouldn't want to put anything too heavy or pointed in it and would keep it out of the way of 'traffic'. I'm very happy with it. I'm leaving mine as it is but it could be painted or varnished as desired.u
