A Study Bible that anyone will love and appreciate and get value from
As a Methodist, I perhaps appreciate this Bible more than other might. But it is a Bible for everyone really. The comments and commentary provided is accepted by mainline churches and moderate Christians and are unbiased. As for the version of the Bible, I have the NRSV and this is my favorite version. It is the one used by scholars and academics for the most part and has fewer, if any, errors in translation. And, it explains the translations so, if you want, you can do further study. I appreciate the soft imitation leather. Unlike bonded leather, it does not stand up after you shut it. I have a very comfortable feel and is a joy to read. My copy does not have gold edges, which I would prefer. But that's really pretty minor. I highly recommend this bible to all Methodists and to any mainline or moderate Christian who wants to understand the Bible.

Sum it up in a few words
My wife uses this Bible in her Bible study class and the participants really like it. So she decided to buy a couple of copies to give to them. This used copy was nice enough that she feels comfortable giving it away.

Great Study Bible
Very good study Bible. Easy to read and most accurate in the NRSV translation. Very helpful footnotes. All of this in a carry-sized Bible.
