Excellent for the price
Real wood quality, not the real cheap lower end instrument. I recommend to spend the extra money now ($100 +/-) and use better quality strings as others recommend. We bought the set with D'Dario strings, the same company I use for guitar. Good basic student violin
Beautiful violins with good tone. I ordered two of these and was impressed with their look, tone, feel, and playability. Their color had slight variations, showing me that they are individually crafted and not a mass-produced product. On the downside, one of the two I ordered needed an inexpensive repair soon after beginning its use. Two of the four bows were misshapen, but the company promptly replaced them at no charge.
