Construction quality at first impression seems sturdy enough. At 60 years old I don't hike so these are strictly sidewalk and grocery getting shoes. I may swap out the insoles just to see if the comfort level goes up just a bit. Only cons are the ridiculously long laces, and the top of the tongue doesn't flex enough while bending at the ankle. I'm sure that'll change once broken in.

They hadn't been worn or tried on, so I couldn't figure out where the odor was coming from. They were packaged in shoe covers and the odor was in them as well. The shoe does look exactly like the picture and they fit as expected. They are really pretty and I can't wait to wear them!
