Great sounds/bad package
Love Rush. Downloaded the album and really liked it. Being somewhat of a completest, I decided to finally buy the compact disc. Tray didn't want to let go of the disc! I pulled gently, gently, a little more... CRACK! I always feared this might happen with this newfangled packaging, but it never has. This one cracked before I had a chance to listen to it! Maybe it was a bad batch. Maybe it was bad luck. Maybe I just don't know how to work these kooky contraptions... The album is great, though.Love Rush. Downloaded the album and really liked it. Best Studio Album Ever Recorded
I know some of you out there despise RUSH and that's OK; I have my musical dislikes too. But I have been a fan of RUSH's music since the early 70's and fully enjoy every song they have produced. I also know they are the 3rd best selling group artist of all time just behind The Beatles & The Rolling Stones. That's odd; I remember in high school most of my classmates disliking RUSH and flocking to the pop culture music, telling me RUSH was just a passing rock n' roll fad. That said, RUSH is heavy in the lyrics, clean and to the point. Neil has poured himself into his art and spoken his heart and mind during his journey to touch many others who search and ponder. Clockwork Angels lyrics being written from the story in the book by Kevin J. Anderson seems to chronicle the life journey of Neil ... Many of us have been through the very same timeline in our own journeys, I know mine is almost spot on; beginning life with a zest only to find much of what we were taught to believe and much of what we thought we knew, only a lie. After passing through my own 3 year "dark night of the soul" and beginning again with an entirely new perspective on life I can honestly say that RUSH's final song, The Garden, sums up what my purpose has come to be. Alex and Geddy have outdone themselves in following the lyrics and blending the notes into a masterpiece, and likewise Neil, summing up their incredible talent into their 20th studio album. I am of the opinion that Clockwork Angels is one of the deepest meaning and best orchestrated albums of all time. Buy it to study as much as enjoy. It may just be what you've been searching for. Thank you Geddy, Alex & Neil for giving us so much...!!!

Rush get busy and complex.
I thought this album was a bit of a mess when I first heard it and I still think it is but I have been listening to it a lot lately and it has definitely grown on me. I think this is an album you have to listen to from start to end to completely enjoy. It is certainly the most complex album Rush ever did. Lots of great guitar riffs from Alex and some very loud bass playing from Geddy. I could never get into the concept, however, and I think Geddy Lee sings too much on this. This album is Rush at it’s busiest and that is saying a whole lot for this group. My favorite songs are the first three, Caravan, BU2B and Clockwork Angels, and Headlong Flight. Some of this is Rush at their absolute heaviest. Best Rush album, post Moving Pictures.
For those Rush fans that yearned for the "old" Rush, and always wondered, "which is their best album post Moving Pictures?" Well, this is it! Their very last studio album. Their musicianship is top notch, possibly the best they ever played, and there are even two "radio-friendly" songs that aren't overtly "commercial". A great listen, from the first track to the last.
