An ideal choice for tactical shooting, hunting and target practice, the Bushnell Trophy XLT 4-12x40mm riflescope is designed for use on both break-barrel airguns and high-powered centerfire rifles. The scope offers an outstanding combination of durability and affordability, combined with the type of crystal clear image found on the more expensive, top-of-the-line optics. When mounting this scope on your rifle, there’s no need to worry about it breaking, as the Bushnell Trophy XLT features a nitrogen-filled body tube that makes it fully waterproof, shockproof, and fogproof. The scope is constructed from a solid, one-piece main body tube, which helps to add to its overall strength and ruggedness. It also features a sleek-looking matte black finish, which helps to keep your rifle better hidden while out hunting, by ensuring that no light is reflected off of it. In addition, the scope comes with flip-open Butler Creek covers, which helps prevent the lenses from being scratched or fogging over. This scope’s fully multi-coated optics provide an excellent 91-percent light transmission, the highest light transmission percentage in its class, ensuring a bright, clear and sharp image in virtually any light condition. As well, the Bushnell Trophy XLT 4-12x40mm scope’s fast-focus eyepiece allows for quicker targeting, ensuring you won’t waste valuable time when your target suddenly appears in front of your rifle. With a magnification range between 4x and 12x, this riflescope works equally as well for long range shooting and shorter distance shots. Both hunters and tactical shooters will also enjoy the range of reticle choices. Choose from either the MultiX or the DOA 600 CF reticle to find the style that’s most comfortable for you. The DOA 600 reticle is particularly interesting, as it allows you to quickly and accurately judge distances and it features separate aiming points for 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 and 600 yard shots. Another unique feature of this reticle is that it allows you to more easily judge the size of a whitetail or mule deer at distance, as the reticle Rack Bracket reference lines that enable you to guess the size of the deer’s antlers. With its 40mm objective lens, this Bushnell Trophy XLT scope measures 12.8-inches long and weighs a mere 16.4 ounces. This means you can easily install the scope on virtually any rifle, without having to worry that you’re adding too much weight. At 3.5 inches, the scope also provides ample eye relief. The windage and elevation turrets are easy to turn, and each click of the turret provides 1/4 MOA adjustment, to allow you to precisely zero in your sight. As well, the scope features an adjustable objective that enables you to adjust the parallax for shooting your rifle at both shorter and longer distances. At the lowest 4x magnification setting, the scope provides a 29-foot field of view at 100 yards, while the field of view at the highest 12x setting is 10 foot at 100 yards. Considering all of the excellent features and the overall quality of this scope, it’s no wonder why the Bushnell Trophy XLT 4-12x40 is rated amongst the best in its class.
