It was an FSA chainring with the correct BCD, but not the chainring shown in the pictures and that I expected to receive. The one in the pictures has triangular cut outs at the top of each arm, this one does not. Once fitted it did not line up smoothly with my FSA chainring and looks janky. Were in not the case that the bike I put it on is my commuter bike that is on it's last legs then I would have been returning the item.
