    The Verbally Abusive Relationship

    Easy to read and understand for a 'non reader' - Information is Clear and Life-Changing-Helpful. It changed my life when I read it 20 years ago. Since then, I have given a copy of this book to help others when I recognized they were in a verbally abusive relationship. Most recently it was given to a man who has been an extremely abusive marriage for 50 years. He got it. He got out. Most all hope was lost for him, and now he has a chance for true happiness late in life. This book worked like a miracle worker. I, personally, will be forever grateful to Patricia Evans for putting a name on this and putting it out there.

    The Best

    This is the best book I have found on the subject. I lived it for 27 years and recognized every tactic, as well as suffering every response. It was horrendous! I wish I had found this book then. I purchased it because I know others who are still living the nightmare.

    A great book

    Great book for those people in these kind of relationships. It validates how you feel and knowing you not in the wrong of feeling these relationships. Its real and it helps you on how to respond. I moved twice and lost the book. So I bought it again. Even when out of the relationship. Good to have around and read it time to time, so you remember the signs of one again.

    Excellent

    This book gives language to the person who is being abused, especially in those subtle ways that involved manipulation, and minimizing. Is not a man-bashing book.... just straight forward and what your options are and how to go about responding to this type of situation. I would recommend it to most everyone.
