Great show
It's connected to The vampire diaries and the originals series but it works well as a stand alone show. So you can enjoy it even without having seen the other two shows. Yes there are some easter eggs for those who has seen the vampire diaries and/or the originals. Loving the second season which just started airing Thursdays at 9pm on The CW.

Another supernatural world
Missed a couple of episodes. This helps to catch up on those. This is a world where werewolves, vampires and witches live in peace with humans. Well sort of do. In a school for the first three a mystery is coming out. Mythological creatures are starting to appear or were they just absent from memories. Dragons, garoyles and the sort. All seem to be after a certin knife. Then, there is another person on the grounds who is immune to a vampire's influence, appears human.
