I'm not sure why it was packed with a 220 volt line cord when it was shipped to the United States. I haven't plugged it in yet since I want it to warm up to room temperature. My main problem was with DHL. I was 2 minutes from home when we talked through our door bell camera and told him we would be there to sign the delivery reciept. he said he would NOT wait. I did call DHL and told them to leave the package and I would be responsible for any problems.
