They're very lightweight, but sturdy. My only concern is that the box cutters DO NOT snap/lock into place, when you try to close/fold the box cutters after use. It does remain folded. (It's not broken.) These box cutters are great for older people, but if you have little kids... DO NOT leave the box cutters in reach of children.
