Highlights of THE PROMISE include the extraordinary rock version of "Racing in the Street," the never-before-released original recordings of "Because the Night," and "Fire", the supreme pop opus "Someday (We'll Be Together)," the hilarious "Ain't Good Enough for You," the superb soul-based vocal performance on "The Brokenhearted," the utterly haunting "Breakaway", and the fully orchestrated masterpiece and title song "The Promise".

    Top-notch customer service during the busy holiday season. I received a defective printer, which I ordered for my business needs. As an internet seller myself, I highly value the "no questions asked" quick refund I received after describing the issues I was having (in detail). No request for proof, pictures, etc. As an aside, the printer was packed and shipped beautifully; no problems there. Just technical problems with the unit. Kudos to just taking care of the customer's needs!

    E-bay refunded my money, thank you for that. However, the seller is not fair, I still haven't received the disc I ordered after 2 months, the seller's communication is zero, when I asked him to check my package to see where it got stuck, he didn't even answer. In a word, avoid it, I don't recommend it!

    An average 2 disc set from a far from average artist. Only for fanatics.

    Darkness On The Edge Of Town is one of my fave Bruce albums so I bought this 2 disc set with high expectations. After 2 listens all I can say about the Promise is that it is an ok release. There's a reason these songs weren't included on Darkness. For my taste there are too many slow songs and not near enough rockers.

    Everything was OK, one of the disc would...

    Everything was OK, one of the disc would not play on my player ( # 2) , but I was able to rip it for my collection of Springsteen. so that is why it is OK.I needed the # 1 disc to complete the CD.I lost it somehow.

    Bruce Springsteen- the promise

    I have only listened to it once, so I'm not familiar with the songs yet to know if I like it or not. The great thing about e bay purchases, the CDs are so affordable you can take a chance on a CD you otherwise might not buy.
