    Great little midi device

    I went back and forth on getting this. I wanted a low cost midi keyboard for use with Apples Logic Pro . I am glad I upp’d my decision to the Akai as for the little more it cost it was made out of a nice sturdy ABS plastic as opposed to the cheap flimsy types out there and I liked the grey as it complimented the Apple Mac device beautifully. While it worked out of the box, I didn’t initially realized that a key combination actually put the keyboard in Logic Pro mode which brought out more compatibility. I bought it for portability on airplanes etc which by my decision made me limit the keys, part of me does sometimes wish for a larger key count but then it would no longer be portable. Given most my use is within logic I obviously won’t need the extra keys most of the time.

    Great for the Money

    This is a nice midi controller for the money. I wish the keys were a little more robust, but it doesn't affect the playability of it. For people like me there is a learning curve, but that is to be expected. The little led window has some information, but I don't pay as much attention to it as I thought I would. The control knobs are right within reach and are fun(once I figure out what they control on the VST). All in all I am very happy. There are most likely better units, for a lot more money, but at this price point the Akai MPK mini is a very nice unit.

    Mighty mite

    I haven't even begun to mine all that this and the included software have to offer. It's only been a week. So far, it feels great and I love the MPC beats drum kits ,grand piano and Rhodes. Can't beat the bang for the buck!

    Well made and compact

    Great little unit, the keys have a nice weight to them. Pads are nice and punchy. Really nice midi keyboard
