Fantastic homelab server platform
I have always been a fan of HP Enterprise server hardware. They were the backbone of our big data clusters at my previous position. I have recently begun toying with ESXi and needed more horsepower to do what I wanted to do with it. This server provides plenty of processing power and memory with room to expand. The SFF disk array provides plenty of storage bays to customize for your storage needs. I run this system 24/7 in my office constantly running 4 or 5 VMs, all loaded up to some degree, at very low noise and power usage. I currently an pulling 130 watts with all fans at around 13% speed. It is quieter than the switch it is plugged into! An added bonus is HP iLO, which is built into this machine. It provides remote administration and console services. Teamed with a VPN, you can manage your homelab from anywhere in the world! If you are considering starting a homelab, I highly suggest you check out HP DL server hardware.

Better then expected
Is as advertised. I was taken back by how quiet it is. I was thinking this was going to drive me out of the house and instead I have to keep checking to make sure it is running. I could not be happier. Thank you.
