this battery works. be careful when trimming the metal tabs to fit, i almost cut my tabs completely off.
it worked for my oral-b 3762, its the black handle before they added bluetooth. PLEASE NOTE: after i soldered it to the board, the toothbrush would not turn on at all. i just had to place it on the charger for a minute and it started taking a charge. i let it charge for 2 minutes and it worked. fine. i then put it back together and let it charge fully for over a day. you will want a sharp and strong pair of scissors or metal cutters. the stock battery's tabs are more narrow and a bit shorter. you will need to trim the tabs on this battery a bit so it will fit through holes on the pcb (elecontrics board). do it with a very steady hand, it could be very easy to cut the tab all the way off (i almost cut off half the tab which would have wasted the battery completely). i cut a bit deeper ... it worked for my oral-b 3762, its the black handle before they added bluetooth. PLEASE NOTE: after i soldered it to the board, the toothbrush would not turn on at all. i just had to place it on the charger for a minute and it started taking a charge. i let it charge for 2 minutes and it worked. fine. i then put it back together and let it charge fully for over a day. you will want a sharp and strong pair of scissors or metal cutters. the stock battery's tabs are more narrow and a bit shorter. you will need to trim the tabs on this battery a bit so it will fit through holes on the pcb (elecontrics board). do it with a very steady hand, it could be very easy to cut the tab all the way off (i almost cut off half the tab which would have wasted the battery completely). i cut a bit deeper then i needed/wanted to but i luckily left enough width to not have to throw away the battery. i would recommend you start with the narrow cut. you are going to basically cut the tab "hot dog style" (from the end of the tab cutting towards the battery, you can cut at an angle to tapper it). you will need to remove somewhere around 1/3rd to 3/4 of the width at the end so it can fit through a hole. i tried to tapper mine so its only at its most narrow point for the last 1/4 inch (just enough to pop through the hole and bend over the solder point. when my battery was new, it would take like 1.5 days to charge and last over a full week. last week, it got to a point where it would charge overnight and last maybe 4 - 5 days, but it was also much weaker. after i put in the new battery it took the 1.5 days to stop charging. and its been about 3 days (6 uses) and my battery is just as strong as when i took it off the charger, and it still shows 3 lights of power.

Extends Unit Life
You don't realize how much your electric brush has slowed down until you replace the battery. Over the years mine dropped off in performance but I didn't really notice until it wouldn't hold a charge more than two days. I bought the battery, watched the video and replaced it. Can't believe how fast and steady the brush is now. These take a little patience and soldering know-how to install, and you often need to trim the size of the electrodes to fit properly. Take your time. I didn't and ended up breaking an electrode where I had trimmed it down. I soldered some copper to the short electrode and made my connection. These are top name batteries and should last a long time. Sure beats tossing and replacing a perfectly good $150 Braun 9000 brush.You don't realize how much your electric brush has slowed down until you replace the battery. Works fine after installation
The installation of this or any other battery into an Oral-B is not for the faint of heart. Round wires rather than too wide metal strips would make it easier. After everything is un-soldered, flat tabs cut to a width that fits through the circuit board and re-soldered, all is well. Braun has changed the design on newer models to make battery replacement easy with no soldering. (Great improvement)The installation of this or any other battery into an Oral-B is not for the faint of heart. Round wires rather than too wide metal strips would make it easier. Brought brand new life to my toothbrush
After following the YouTube video on how to replace the battery it was easy to do. There are plenty of them if you search. As long as you can solder it is fairly easy to do. After assembly I was afraid that it wasn't working because the LCD display was blank even after placing it in the charger. But after 10 minutes it had charged the battery enough to bring it to life. A full night of charge and it was back to like new. Now the battery will hold a charge for long periods.After following the YouTube video on how to replace the battery it was easy to do. Good replacement battery
This replacement battery works in my Oral B electric toothbrush and the replacement was easy if you have access to a solder sucker and a soldering iron with a small tip. The leads were too long and wide for my toothbrush, but were easily trimmed to size with a pair of scissors.
