Compared to the other two sample bottles I ordered (in different colours) this was the weakest colour in the sense that it would take a number of coats to build up a deep colour. I have used it to paint a raw wood window sill and it looks great.

Moral of this is story is to check BEFORE you use. I wish I had followed my own advice, just so sad it has spoiled the clams. the Stain itself is fit for purpose, arrived in good condition, reasonable value and good appearance & well packaged

It's water-based, which is not what I am used to, but very easy to apply with a small brush that I dipped into the bottle by removing the dropper.
