    As a passive pickup, it's really pretty astonishing for the money. And the coil split is a really good-sounding one; I think I'm likely to use it like that more than in full humbucker mode. Tons of power, in case you deem that necessary, lots of bass and mids and decent highs too, though that's perhaps where it loses out to the more expensive competition. Wilkinson quality, basically. I could have left the review as this: 'Once I heard it I immediately bought a second one.' It's true.

    Great sound, excellent value

    Excellent tone; rich fat sound in humbucker mode, tight twang as single coils. Fitted in both bridge & neck positions, with a fader and coil-split switches, this offers a wide range of sounds. Thunderbird, Jazz, Precision; dial and switch it up. The output isn't particularly loud; only just enough to get some distorted gain from my Marshall Bass State amp. Running the bass through any pedal would boost it enough. I've installed them as passive pickups, which I believe is the go as they have 12.5k ohm resistance. They replaced cheap nasty active pickups in my bottom-of-the-range Haze bass, transforming it from fairly crap to bloody brilliant. Yellow wire is +, red & white are the mid-coil, black is -

    Great low end sound, lacks a bit of top end

    I bought this to replace the stock pickup on a Warwick Rockbass which was a bit thin/weak sounding. It's a huge improvement with a lot more bottom end and a lot more poke. My only complaint is that it seems to lack a little top end sparkle, but it may be that a 500k tone pot will sort that. Otherwise, I really can't fault it at the price. Mine came with the wires mis labelled (red and white) but, once I sussed that out, the coil split worked well.

    Worth trying out!

    Really improved guitar sound over that from stock pickups. Very pleased with this purchase! Have also bought Wilkinson pickups for some of my 6 string guitars as well, - a very economical improvement to the sound !

    Very decent pickup for the money

    Very decent pickup for the money, replacement for a real cheap one on a Musicman copy, a worthy upgrade, straight forward wiring if you want to change to a 2 vol setup as I did!

    Worthwhile upgrade

    Quality Pickup, nice upgrade from the standard Harley Benton, much fuller /richer tone. Pickup is slightly larger then the original so I had to file out the pick guard cutout a little but a simple upgrade otherwise.
