Product Information

Dynasty Warriors is a 3D-based fighting game developed by an in-house development studio within Koei. Koei is better known for its third century China war simulations. This is their first crack at the whip with a PlayStation fighting game. <br><br>The game is weapons based, meaning there is no hand-to-hand combat that does not incorporate weapons. The storyline is in line with the Koei war sims, so this is a fighting game based on real history. The characters are pulled straight from the historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Each character is either based on or tied to one of the legendary warlords who fought to unite under their own kingdom. <br><br>The game is one of the first of its kind to rely heavily on fighting strategy -- keeping true to the Koei tradition -- and the use of good defense is often the key to victory. The game's character models feature over 600 texture mapped and shaded polygons each and also make use of Motion Capture technology that runs at 60 frames per second. The game features 13 historical characters, eight of which are initially selectable.

    Disc was perfect with no scratches as described. Its value was perfect considering it was a rare & collector’s item. Packaging was inside a DVD case with the insert on the manual clips, & in a bubble mailer. Free shipping is always an instant buy, & it was Ground instead of First Class Mail. Overall, the only flaws was that the insert was creased, but it was clearly shown in the photo. Also, the servers were down, but I know that. Only bought it for the rarity. A+++++++++ seller. Great A seller.

    This is where it all began!

    As the first entry in the Dynasty Warriors series, this game is a 1-on-1 fighter, not a 3D beat-em-up like the series is known for. Visually, the graphics and fluid 60 FPS gameplay hold up very well. However, the controls are a tad stiff and take some practice to get comfortable with. The gameplay doesn't have a high "wow" factor with the action going on, but it's still pretty engaging to watch, especially when you get good at those special moves and combos. I think the longevity lies in unlocking new characters and seeing each character's ending FMV. If you're a fan of the DW series, I'd recommend this game for the novelty value.

    great game

    the disk arrived in a lot of bubble wrap thank you for doing that it helps keeping the case and the disk from breaking. the game play and runs smooth and the disk is very clean

    Dynasty Warriors as a 2D fighter

    A good 2D fighter from the early days of the good old PSOne. The game boasts very responsive controls and familiar faces from the later Dynasty Warriors games. If you like Dynasty Warriors, you'll like this!
