Great action horror!
My favourite horror movie is the original Evil Dead and I was always sceptical about the more modern re-imaginings of this classic. But I was pleasantly surprised with this latest instalment in the franchise -as it's now become. If you are familiar with the lore of this story, ie. people discovering a book that when read releases demons that possess the living (to put it briefly), then you will know to expect lots of action and a fair amount of blood and gore. What sets it apart though is its humour, that is, it is so 'over-the-top' with the blood and crazy action that it, to me anyway, is like watching a comic book come to life, which takes the edge off any darkness or disturbing elements, since it seems so tongue-in-cheek and fantastical. Blood, and Gore a plenty!
