Amazon Smart plug
Bought this Amazon plug to pair up with my Alex as with them being the same make they would be more compatible. Brilliant device so easy to set up and no connection issues. I am able to use voice command but also control from my phone which is a great help as i work shifts and i am in and out the house at varying times of the day. Easy to setup

Being lazy

A pleasure to use.
The amazon smart plug is a great innovation and help to the elderly. You have to have the amazon app in your phone and alexa. When alexa is connected to amazon on the Internet, it simple to open the app and ask alexa to find the smart plug. I have 3 lights in the sitting room and when connected to the smart plug and the lights switched on, alexa will find the smart plug. Now all I have to do while going to bed or coming down in the morning, is to say to alexa, Alexa, lights on. And all are on or Alexa, lights off and they are off. Very Easy Setup
So very easy to set up, and without needing any adjustments making to the router. Other plugs will not find 5ghz, and you need to change the router to 2.4 ghz. This plug connects straightaway. I now have six of the controlling table lamps via Alexa Show. Making life simple
Once set up with Alexa and this has been done with the echo plus, this is a straight forward simple use to making life easier. We have our lamps plugged into these and renamed the plugs by assigning into groups. We then can just say what we want on or off in simple terms.
