Thick with thorough information
Very thorough, it came with the code not scratched off so I get a year to listen to the recordings! I had expected with a used copy that the (online) recordings I might have to buy. I am about to start using them. Might be good to ask if buying a used copy if the recordings are still included, Anyway, there are examples from baroque to modern pieces, details on individual instruments, on choirs of instruments, all ways to approach. The experience of the author as a composer is essential to present this material and he does so splendidly. I have only begun to explore this book.
