    A Real Mystery Series for the Patient Crime Fan

    After 42 years of watching TV go down hill, with flat characters that don’t prove to be human and without intellect doing the actual work, Columbo is a gem from the truer days of writing. A long stage of full characters and motives is first set for intriguing plots with Detective Columbo only introduced at the thick of things. He’s loveable, clumsy and sweet, but a subtle and human element that marries the audience to the unfolding suspense of murder. Organic and complicated, psychological and full of persons just as smart as anyone you’d meet in life, Columbo is a sincere series that tickles the more mature audience. I’m glad I discovered it at an age that can really appreciate it.

    Great Investigator. Need Him Today.

    Definition is very good for an older series. Writing was excellent. Actors were professional. Disc menu easy to navigate. So far at least-

    Just one more thing...it is a wonderful show!

    This is a wonderful show. It shows you right from the beginning who the murderer is and how they did it. Then Lieutenant Columbo shows up and you get to see how he solved the crime. I love the show I love the characters and I love the actors! This was a great value.

    Pretty great.

    This was a gift for my dad. He's really enjoying it and having the whole series together is very convenient. Some discs seemed to have come with scratches and some parts of an episode will be unwatchable. Overall, most of the discs so far (through the end of season 2) are in good condition.

    The most engaging American TV detective!

    The Columbo series is definitely the very best of all the 70s television detective shows. It does not have the "realism" of today's dramas, none of the gore or in your face violence, it features stars of the era as crafty murderers, who commit what they believe is the perfect crime, but, Lt Columbo gets them every time, wears them down, with his iconic, "Just one more thing..." I have enjoyed this series now, as much, if not more than I did as a kid in the 70s.
