This should be required
First, I saw this on PBS many years ago and it was great. Owning a copy is even better. This should be required as part of history classes in school a great example how life was before radio, TV, computers and electronic games not to mention refrigerators microwave and cell phones, Worth a lot more than I paid for it.

Great book.
Great story of a man's stay in the Alaskan wilderness. Read it in 2 nights. Had to buy the DVD to see some of the stories in real life.

Amazing that this man was 50 years old when he started this journey Alone in the Wilderness

Without a doubt one of the finest-if not the finest-documentary of one mans life in the Wilderness. Breathtaking photos taken of God's paradise in Alaska along with the life of it's residents.
