Superb artistry by an artist that deserves greater, far greater, fame.
I have only recently heard of Novaes' in regard to her playing a very limited but wonderful repertoire . Her playing of Chopin was why I bought my first CD of her playing, considered by many to be great interpretations of his works. But in this CD I discovered her extraordinary playing of Beethoven and especially her revelatory playing of Mozart. She's not overly theatrical in her playing like say, the great Uchida.
