  • Love the story

The story is compelling. It's based on true stories though the book is fiction. The author weaves a story that is hard to put down.

  • Okay

Decent story about the war years but predictable and too much on trapeze practice. I personally did not find it that interesting and kept wondering if it is so difficult and requires years of practice how did Noa get it in such a short amount of training.

  • Excellent read

Historical fiction = very well written, hard to put it down, made me look up historical events mentioned . I was unaware of the events that took place in Germany region to everyday citizens during the war. History books and news media concentrated on troop activity.

  • compelling

This was a compelling story of the conditions citizens faced during the reign of Hitler; however, I found it unsettling and depressing so if you're looking for a good escape novel, this isn't it, but if you're looking for a realistic view of life for ordinary citizens during Hitler's time, I recommend.

  • Easy read with history and family in it's story

I've enjoyed this book and like that although it's fiction, there is some historical facts. The characters are very believable and likeable.
