  • Sir Liddell Hart's Sherman

Sir Hart's 'Sherman' is most interesting in two ways. For the reader of history and biography he tell the story of W. T. Sherman as a humble and thoughtful man who happens to be a master of the art of war. Additionally, Sir Hart carefully reconstructs Sherman's Atlanta campaign. A reader of military history will understand how the strategy and tactics of Sherman influenced the development of Sir Hart's widely adopted doctrine of mobile warfare. A great read on both levels.
