    One of the early big budget SciFi movies about the effects of nuclear tests. The cast is great, the plot is well thought out. Watch for appearances of actors who will go on to bigger roles in the future. Even though the film is B&W it is very enjoyable.

    Got the BluRay as an upgrade to my old DVD copy. Imagine my surprise to find that the image quality of the BluRay is MUCH worse than my old DVD ! BluRay image is much softer and grainier. Warner must’ve used a horrible master for the blu ray. I compared them both using a Panasonic UPB-9000 player and Sony 83A90J TV.

    Blu Ray 1954 Black and white movie "Them"

    This is a classic science fiction movie that I saw when I was a teen age kid. It is the story of giant ants that evolved due to the nuclear testing in White Sands NM. Special effects were hard to do those days. Blood and gore were left out also. However the plot was great, suspense, acting were also good. I had borrowed the DVD and watched it before and found it on e-bay. However, it was a Blu Ray version. (Of an old B&W movie?) Well, folks, I could see that the NM State Policeman James Whitmore needed a haircut. This Blu Ray is something special and will be viewed by my friends in the near future. GREAT PRODUCT!

    This is a classic movie I loved growing up. It was a movie missing from my collection so I was delighted with my purchase of this movie on Blue-Ray. Even with being a black and white movie, the quality was excellent. I would recommend this product especially to others looking for old classic movies.
