Jolly Old Santa Claus
I bought this book because I had a later copy in which the words covered some parts of the pictures. I was hoping this book had just the pictures and no writing as I seem to remember having one when I was a child. The pictures are the part that I really enjoyed, not the story line. This version has smaller pictures than the paperback version I already have, but at least the words don't cover the pictures. My grandchildren love it.

Beautiful Illustrations
This book is full of beautiful detailsed illustrations that kids will spend hours pouring over even if ty can’t read. Each picture is full of elves doing all sorts of odd and interesting things while Santa gets ready for his big night.

A real delight.
Although the plot of this children's book is a charming tale, the full page, brightly-colored illustrations by George Hinke are the true treasure. We follow Santa as he prepares for his big night, delivers presents, returns and relaxes. Each picture reveals several story lines through the antics of Santa's many elf helpers.

Quite unique. A new story line other than the typical night before Christmas. I like it.

Nostalgia pure and simple
Our children had this in 1969 Canada and now we are buying it for our youngest grandchildren. It elicits so many memories and brought tears to the eyes of our children as they read it to theirs.
